After all the missions (which will take many weeks, at the very least, of your time), you are free to really play the game. To fully enjoy all this creation has to offer, you need a good rig with lots of power and many high powered weapons and consoles and special sets of shields and armors and the best ground gear you can get your hands on, and it's a grind from the beginning to after you hit level 60 and it gets more intense the farther into the universe you go.
this game is meant to be played by millionaires. Regarding not trying the ques if you are a F2P believer, and are following strict budgetary regiments. They just release the 14th expansion recently. The episodes are easy enough to be soloed Socially, STO players are very anti-social, except in fleets, but that is because in Fleets, players are provided motivation to be social. You can play STO for Free from beginning to the end, but i suggest free players stay out of PVE and PVP queues, because you won't have enough DPS to be sucessfull.
